Basingstoke Wedding Photographer at Register Office Ceremony
I was met with extreme calm when I got to the New Inn in Heckfield this morning which is where Eleanor, her mum and bridesmaids were all getting ready. This despite yet more heavy rain in a repeat of my last trip to Basingstoke only three days ago. However, as the dress went on the sun came out (and so did the nerves for Eleanor….) and things started to look a bit more promising before we headed off to Basingstoke register office for the ceremony.
We left at the same time so I put my foot down in order to get to the register office before the bride, and was a bit puzzled to learn that she was already there when I arrived (which must have been down to the flash Bentley they were travelling in….). She was actually already there when Rob arrived too, so there was some shielding going on to make sure they didn’t see each other before the ceremony! Eleanor was soon walking up the aisle and before long they were Mr and Mrs Miller. The waterworks had come and gone again during the ceremony (both the rain outside and an emotional father of the bride inside) and then it was onward to Sherfield Oaks Golf Club for the reception.
Speeches were made before the wedding breakfast and these included the two best men doing a combined speech with some, very amusing jokes. Perfect for real moments, photos that will keep the memories of this special wedding day.
It was at this point that I was surplus to requirements and back off to Surrey I headed as the food was about to be brought out to the hungry mob.
An enjoyable day, not least for the new Mrs Miller who never stopped smiling from start to finish and is still probably smiling now as I’m sure the party is still going strong as I write this.
A selection of natural documentary style wedding images from the day will be uploaded soon as usual. Feel free to view. my photojournalism photos.
In a few hours time I’ll be getting up and heading off to London for the wedding of Victoria and John…..
